Super Foods for Super Kids
with the Wellness Foundation
July 22 & July 29 (for kids 5-10)

Session 1 ~ Power up your Plate! July 22 at 3:00 PM
Learn about the “super powers” of leafy greens, berries, and other health boosters such as flax seeds, goji berries, and more. We’ll discuss tips for easily incorporating them into family favorites and end the session with a smoothie demo that both kids and adults will love! Kids under 8 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver, all parents and caregivers welcome!

Session 2 ~ Super Snacks July 29 at 3:00 PM
Healthy snacks play an important role in supporting brain and heart health—join us for this session and walk away inspired by new information and ideas. We’ll also explore lesser-known grains, including naturally gluten free options, and identify delicious alternatives to refined grain products. We’ll end the session by sampling some on-the-go snacks and booster-packed bites! Kids under 8 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver, all parents and caregivers welcome!


Go Wild About Llamas
A Visit from Suffolk County Farm!

Best for families with children 5-12 (siblings welcome).
Come to the library to meet the llamas! Suffolk County Farm (managed by Cornell Cooperative Extension) will visit the library with llamas and a fun, educational program about these wonderful members of the camelid family. Please register to reserve your spot..

Drop by the library to read with Shari and her canine companion Valentino,
a certified Canine Good Citizen (American Kennel Club).
Children and families can learn about dogs and read to Valentino,
or enjoy a drop-in story time with Shari together with Valentino.
Children must be accompanied by parents or caregivers.

A perfect introduction to story time for young children.


Shake Rattle & Roll Fridays at 10:00
For birth- 3 years      
Join us for playtime in the Community Room.
Play time is followed by circle time: songs and rhymes.
